FEATURE ATTRIBUTE TABLES CODES AND VALUES:

Item
Item Description
OBJECTID Internal feature number.

SHAPE Feature geometry.

FLUCCS The land use and land cover classification code as defined in the Florida DOT's FLUCCS classification system. The following represents the original field from the source Water Management District layer. SFWMD = LANDUSE_CODE - The primary classification type assignment. This may be either a land use classification or a land cover classification in the case that keys to identification indicate a physiographic feature.

OTHER The following represents the original field from the source Water Management District Layer. SFWMD = LANDCOVER_CODE - A secondary classification assigned to account for the fact that any given polygon may have more than one use or a use and a physiographic cover.

LANDUSE_DE [LANDUSE_DESCRIPTION] Florida land use land cover code description.

LANDCOV_DE [LANDCOVER_DESCRIPTION] Florida land use land cover code description.

LANDUSE_YR [LANDUSE_YEAR] The year that the land use data represents.

PLANNING_R [PLANNING_REGION] The planning region that the area is within.

AERIAL_DAT [AERIAL_DATE] The date the aerial used to identify land use was taken.

SOURCE Water Management District of Coverage/Origin. SFWMD field [WATER_MANAGEMENT_DISTRICT].

SOURCE2 Other contributing source.

FLUCCS_L1 The highest level (level 1) designation in a hierarchical coding scheme containing 4 levels. The following represents the original field from the source Water Management District Layer.

LEVEL1 Level 1 land use description, based on the FDOT classification schema.

FLUCCS_L2 The second highest level (level 2) designation in a hierarchical coding scheme containing 4 levels. The following represents the original field from the source Water Management District Layer.

LEVEL2 Level 2 land use description, based on the FDOT classification schema.

FLUCCS_L3 The third highest level (level 3) designation in a hierarchical coding scheme containing 4 levels. The following represents the original field from the source Water Management District Layer.

LEVEL3 Level 3 land use description, based on the FDOT classification schema. There is a possibility that the FDOT Level 3 description does not match that of the Water Management District, for those occurrences this discrepancy has been identified in the FLUCCSCOMP field.

FLUCCSCOMP A value of 1 in this field indicates a difference when comparing the FLUCCS code description to the FDOT FLUCCS code description.

ACRES Number of Acres.

DESCRIPT Based on the field LANDUSE_DE.

FGDLAQDATE The date FGDL acquired the data from the Source.

AUTOID Unique ID added by GeoPlan

SHAPE.AREA Area in meters

SHAPE.LEN Perimeter in meters

USER NOTES:
This data is provided 'as is'. GeoPlan relied on the integrity
of the original data layer's topology
This data is provided 'as is' by GeoPlan and is complete to our
knowledge.
GeoPlan relied on the integrity of the attribute information within
the original data.

This dataset represents the Land Cover and Land Use for 2014-2016 within the
boundaries of the SFWMD and supports various missions of the District.
This data is now complete.

This data is provided 'as is' and its horizontal positional accuracy
has not been verified by GeoPlan

This data is provided 'as is' and its vertical positional accuracy
has not been verified by GeoPlan

This dataset is made available to the public in response to the Florida Public
Records Law, Florida Statutes, Chapter 119. Any information, including but not
limited to software and data, received from the South Florida Water Management
District ("DISTRICT") is provided "AS IS"; without warranty of
any kind, and the District expressly disclaims all express and implied warranties,
including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a
particular purpose. The entire risk as to the results and performance of any
information obtained from the District is entirely assumed by the recipient.
Acknowledgement of South Florida Water Management District would be
appreciated in products derived from this data. The positional accuracy of the 2009
data meets USGS NMAS for 1:12000 scale maps, providing a foundation for 2014-2016
updates. During feature updates, map scale was set between 1:7,000 to 12,000.

The Florida Geographic Data Library is a collection of Geospatial Data
compiled by the University of Florida GeoPlan Center with support from
the Florida Department of Transportation. GIS data available in FGDL is
collected from various state, federal, and other agencies (data sources)
who are data stewards, producers, or publishers. The data available in
FGDL may not be the most current version of the data offered by the
data source. University of Florida GeoPlan Center makes no guarantees
about the currentness of the data and suggests that data users check
with the data source to see if more recent versions of the data exist.

Furthermore, the GIS data available in the FGDL are provided 'as is'.

modifying, contributing or distributing the materials.

A note about data scale:

Scale is an important factor in data usage. Certain scale datasets
are not suitable for some project, analysis, or modeling purposes.
Please be sure you are using the best available data.

1:24000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
county level.
1:24000 data should NOT be used for high accuracy base mapping such
as property parcel boundaries.
1:100000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
multi-county or regional level.
1:125000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
regional or state level or larger.

Vector datasets with no defined scale or accuracy should be
considered suspect. Make sure you are familiar with your data
before using it for projects or analysis. Every effort has been
made to supply the user with data documentation. For additional
information, see the References section and the Data Source Contact
section of this documentation. For more information regarding
scale and accuracy, see our webpage at:

DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:
Land Cover Land Use data was updated from 2008-09 LCLU by
photo-interpretation from 2014-16 aerial photography and classified using the
SFWMD modified FLUCCS classification system. Features were interpreted from the
county-based aerial photography (4 in - 2 ft pixel) and updated on screen from the
2008-09 vector data. Horizontal accuracy of the data corresponds to the positional
accuracy of the county aerial photography. The minimum mapping unit for
classification was 0.5 acres for wetlands and 5 acres for uplands.
