GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This dataset is a statewide coverage of Wastewater Facility Regulation (WAFR) Facilities. This dataset includes facilities whose current operating status is Active, Closed but Monitored, or Under Construction. Also included are un-permitted facilities for which a permit is required. These facilities are regulated by the following Florida Department of Environmental Protection programs - "Industrial Wastewater Program", "Domestic Wastewater Program", "Phosphate Management Wastewater Program", "Power Plant Management Wastewater Program."

A note about data scale: 

Scale is an important factor in data usage.  Certain scale datasets
are not suitable for some project, analysis, or modeling purposes.
Please be sure you are using the best available data. 

1:24000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
county level.
1:24000 data should NOT be used for high accuracy base mapping such
as property parcel boundaries.
1:100000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
multi-county or regional level.
1:125000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
regional or state level or larger.

Vector datasets with no defined scale or accuracy should be
considered suspect. Make sure you are familiar with your data
before using it for projects or analysis. Every effort has been

DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:
Dataset initially created as an SDE daily refresh layer from WAFR database 
system.
Process Date: 06/30/99

Pull scripts modified to reflect table, view and column name changes due to migration of databases to agency web-compliant naming standards. Process Date: 02/07/02
Underlying database was changed to take advantage of Locational Data Standard (LDS) which changed the column type and codes for DATUM. Pull scripts were changed so that NULL DATUM values are now assumed NAD83 instead of NAD27. Process Date: 11/06/02
New update method instituted for WAFR involving the import of a shapefile exported from wafr_sp_vw, a spatial view of the WAFR spatial table wafr_sp. Process Date: 20050820
This data is a result of the WAFR database integrated in the Integrated Management System. Process Date:
GeoPlan received this data from The Florida Department of Environmental Protection in June of 2009. This data was requested through the OTIS/GIS Data Request Form: http://www.dep.state.fl.us/gis/dataRequest.htm. When the data was received it was in the following projection: NAD83 Albers HARN - Added a DESCRIPT field based on FACILITY_N - Added FGDLAQDATE field based on date downloaded from source - Deleted 5 records located in the Gulf. Facility ID's for deleted records are: FL0040495, FL0038407, FL0038407, FLA013692, FLG110049 - Renamed dataset from wafr_facs to wtreat_jun09 Process Date: 20090604
Data imported to ArcSDE and exported as a shapefile. Process Date: 20090622
